Be the ULTIMATE GENERAL...Modern Warfare for your PC!

Command & Conquer™ Generals puts your trigger finger on the pulse of modern warfare. Choose a General in control of massive armies of bleeding-edge military weaponry across a globe teetering on the brink of Armageddon. Command either the mighty U.S. Army, the Chinese war machine or the resourceful Global Liberation Army, each packed with high-tech arsenals ready to deliver unprecedented firepower on land or in the skies. Prepare your forces, Commander... it's time to engage in the next generation of 3D real-time strategy -- Command & Conquer Generals.

NOTE: The game is scheduled for release sometime near the end of this January [2003].

  • Modern Warfare - Unleash your fury using modern and near-future military weaponry on the bleeding-edge of technology. Wage real-time war in more ways than ever before, with thrilling air-to-air duels, urban combat, and an enhanced veterancy model.

  • Three Ways to Dominate - Command one of three unique armies inspired by real-world ideologies: the high-tech US force, the swarming Chinese war machine, or the resourceful Global Liberation Army.

  • Command Your General - As General, smart decisions and victories over your enemies will gain you experience points. These points can then be allocated to unlocking new units and weapons of mass destruction.

  • Battle Honors - It's not about wins anymore, it's about medals you earn. Players can now collect "Battle Honors" as the progress through the solo and multiplayer game. These medals are based on conquering parts of the game or employing a unique type of strategy to achieve an objective during a mission. All medals will be displayed next to a players name for bragging rights when they are logged in for online play.

  • Brand new storyline not related to any previous Command and Conquer titles. Game is set for 20 years into the future.

  • All-New Units and Tactics - Assemble your army with top-secret Aurora Strike Fighters, Angry Mobs, Paladin Battle Tanks, skilled Hackers and over 60 other distinct units. Units will be able to attain four levels of veteran status. Bring death from above with your side's exclusive super weapon - the US 'Daisy Cutter' Bomb, the Chinese Nuclear Missile, or the GLA Scud Storm.

  • Multiplayer Mayhem - Wreak havoc online, either cooperatively with 8 or your friends or go head-to-head in all-out global domination with a multitude of other players. New features include: Advanced filtering options, Team Quick Matching, Instant Video Replay, Personal Ladders, and Observer mode.

  • Realistic physics - Dune buggies fly over hills and land on wheels with independent suspension, while destroyed buildings can topple into other buildings to cause damage.

  • Dynamic Lighting - Missions that take place during different times of day will also be a feature in Generals, thanks to dynamic lighting that casts realistic shadows and impressive reflections on most objects.

  • A game editor - will be released for the game a few months before the game ships that will allow mod and map makers to get an early start on projects for the community.

  • Air to air combat now possible. First CNC game to feature this. Now take YOUR battles to the skies!

  • Nine missions per side (3-sides) for a total of 27 game missions. And you get to use all three sides. Play with one of three sides and in three separate campaigns. China, the Global Liberation Army (GLA), and finally the US (United States).

  • New game engine [Sage] developed by the same people who made Red Alert2 and Yuri's Revenge. [EA Pacific] Experience C&C in unprecedented detail as you battle it out in full 3D on urban cityscapes, rugged deserts and frozen wastelands! Real-time strategy never looked so sharp!

  • CNC: Generals will have a bottom interface bar [in-game], doing away with the vertical bar that has been on all previous CNC games. You can also play without the vertical bar, giving you full screen viewing.

  • In-game 3D camera that can zoom and rotate.

  • Stricter measures to prevent online cheating, the ability to record matches, and an amateur ladder that newbies will be able to compete in and eventually graduate from.

  • A cooperative mode with actual scripted missions will also be included in Generals.
